The vision for Pacific Offshore Rigging has always been to be a leading provider of custom rigging solutions in San Diego.
Our philosophy is simple: provide safe, cost-effective, custom rigging solutions and never compromise on customer service. We offer a consultative approach to rigging and strive to get to know our customers so that we can deliver the best solutions. One might consider the Pacific Offshore Rigging team to be somewhat eclectic!
Kasey invested several years with Pacific Offshore Rigging as an apprentice rigger before starting his own business, KC Performance Rigging. In 2010, Kasey was proud to purchase Pacific Offshore Rigging. Kasey is best known for his highly ethical and fair business practice. As a teenager he cruised with his family and now he participates in many regattas. Although he loves winning sailboat races, he still has a passion for cruising. Kasey is also an avid kite boarder and when not on the docks, you can find him at a local kiting beach.

Pacific Offshore Rigging was started by Fritz Richardson in 1983 with the backing of two San Diego marine businesses, Custom Offshore Sails and Pacific Marine Supply. Most San Diego rigging shops had catered to the racing crowd and a void had been left supporting the offshore cruising market. Prior to 1983 Fritz worked as an apprentice rigger with San Diego rigging while finishing his mechanical engineering degree from UC San Diego. In the winter of 1983 Fritz had the unique opportunity to serve as sailmaker / rigger on the racing trimaran Crusader as she attempted to break the New York to San Francisco non-stop sailing record established by the clipper ship Flying Cloud. Although ultimately unsuccessful, the experience gained in heavy weather offshore gave Fritz the ability to pass along knowledge to his cruising customers. In January of 2011 Fritz sold the business to Kasey Campbell of KC Performance Rigging. Kasey has combined both elements of the performance and offshore rigging to make Pacific Offshore Rigging truly a full service shop. Fritz continues to work at Pacific Offshore Rigging when he is not off cruising with his wife Diana on their own sailboat.

Caleb is a hard worker and is passionate about his work. He started with Kasey in 2008 and has become an accomplished rigger. He is experienced with fiberglass and gel coat repair, which is a key role when customizing boats. He spent many years as a child living and cruising on boats. He is now a boat owner himself and enjoys sailing in his free time.
Stephen joined Pacific Offshore Rigging in 1985 while he was getting his license as a professional captain. Stephen had spent many years living and cruising aboard sailboats with his father and solo. Stephen continues to support Pacific Offshore Rigging when he is not delivering boats worldwide or getting ready for another circumnavigation on his own boat. He completed his first in the spring of 2010 after sailing around the five great southern capes in only eight months (truly an accomplishment of superior seamanship). With his knowledge of rigging, teaching and the sea, he is a valuable asset to the team. You can check out pictures of his adventures at Tawodi Sailing Adventures.
